Annual Membership Program Meeting
January 27 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
We hope you will be able to attend this Zoom meeting for members only. All members are encouraged to attend.
LWVDC mission is to promote political responsibility through informed positions on public
policy issues. Positions may be taken ONLY after a formal study of the issue is completed and presented to the board and membership.
Why is this an important membership meeting? Each year members meet in January to review Programs (studies finished, ongoing studies, and member interest in beginning new studies). Please attend this meeting and discuss your ideas for studies of important issues in Deschutes County such as the Child Care Crisis, homeless shelters, or infrastructure needs. As a member you may wish to begin your research of an issue by forming an interest group. The interest group may not progress to a formal study, but it’s an excellent way to “test the waters.”
For questions, comments, or suggestions before the meeting, please contact the Program Chair, Annie Goldner, at 541-389-9660 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The results of this meeting are shared with the board and with the membership at the annual meeting the end of April. An RSVP to Annie would be greatly appreciated! Click here to register.
