Reminder of optional actions for your local league THIS month (February):
- Optional: Feedback, suggestions on default candidate questions for Vote411: SEE Attached PDF. As shared by Lindsay LaPlante on Feb. 3, (l.laplante@lwvor.org; LWVOR Membership & Vote411 Director), "Any suggestions for changes/additions should be submitted to me by email by the end of the day on 2/18 (there will also be opportunity at our 2/18 meeting to share suggestions."
- GRANTS: If your league is interested, there are Vote411 Outreach Grants available. Applications are due February 28th. Link with info and how to apply: 2026 LWVOR VOTE411 Outreach Grants
- Note: we will share an update on 2/18 about what free materials outside of this grant that LWVOR can provide for promoting Vote411 such as flyers, etc.
- LOCAL CANDIDATE QUESTIONS: If your league is interested, begin your county and race-specific question framing for Vote411 for positions such as county commissioner, local judicial, clerk, sheriff, and city positions. You can find a guide to question framing HERE, and in this folder, you can find out which districts you might overlap with another league on (in which case you will need to connect with that league on question framing for that shared district). Questions are due back to voterservice@lwvor.org by 2/25/26.
- LOCAL BALLOT MEASURES: If there will be May Primary ballot measures (such as public funding levies) in your area, if you haven't already done so, please reach out to Peggy Bengry (p.bengry@fastmail.com) to begin the process of research and writing up a measure report for Vote411. *Link to Ballot Measure Research Guide*
