Voter engagement has never been more important!
At the heart of the League's work is one simple but powerful mission: engage voters. Because engaged voters vote. And when voter participation is high, communities benefit through stronger accountability, better public policy, and leaders who know their constituents are paying attention.
The opportunities before us are exciting—but they also require action. We begin building an informed and engaged electorate now.
At our first meeting, we will brainstorm, prioritize, and begin turning ideas into action.
We will include:
- Reaching seniors in our community
- Connecting with high school and college students
- Engaging working adults where they live and work
- Organizing a postcard campaign to encourage voting
- Writing letters to the editor about voting rights and the importance of voting
- Designing and distributing yard signs and flyers
- Co-sponsoring community discussion events with partner organizations
- Creating discussion groups that move people "From Discussion to Ballot"
These are starting points—not a finished plan.
We need your ideas, your experience, and your energy. Together we will decide what we can accomplish in the coming months and begin building our longer-term vision.
