Each election cycle, we sponsor candidate and ballot measure forums for local and state races and issues. All candidates are invited to participate in these publicly held events. 

Our goal is to:

Educate voters
Stimulate interest
Increase election participation
Expand audiences
including younger voters
Gain a sense of candidates
as individuals

You will see us around the county at libraries, farmers markets, and other public places helping residents to register to vote or update their voter information so they will be ready for the next election.  

Although a nonpartisan organization, we do take a stand on issues that defend our democracy.
In 2024 Deschutes County League members donated 8,200 volunteer hours for Get Out the Vote activities, 2,900 volunteer hours for non-election activities and over $9,000 in member donations to support our mission. Thank you!

The Oregon Student Mock Election is an exciting experience-based educational program that involves participating students in the electoral process and demonstrates the importance of voting.  Oregon students, grades 6-12, are eligible.
