Get Out the Vote (GOTV) teams are working on plans to reach three Deschutes County underrepresented voter groups: youth, Latino community, and nonaffiliated (no party chosen). Vigorous Postcard Campaigns are planned for each voter group.
Central Oregon Community College (COCC) expects to have three student interns organize a peer-to-peer outreach to register students and encourage voter participation. In partnership with COCC, the League would like to inspire students to pursue these internships by providing a small stipend in addition to the class credit they will receive.
Other GOTV efforts include publicity and advertising: ads in local papers, public spots on TV and radio, and hosting voting celebration events at local venues.
